Department of Mathematics PhD Defence

We are delighted to announce that Jamiu Omotola Ibrahim from the Department of Mathematics has successfully defended his PhD thesis today in the Virtual Room of the Postgraduate School!

His thesis, titled “Modeling the Dynamics of Chemo Resistance and Radiotherapy Resistance in Brain Tumors: A Mathematical Approach,” showcases his exceptional research skills.

The defence was attended by notable university officials, including:

  • Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Taibat Bakare-Odunola
  • Dean of Postgraduate School, Professor Bamidele Victor Owoyele
  • Dean, Faculty of Physical Sciences, Professor Abdullahi Alafara Baba

Dr. Chris Thron from Texas A&M University-Central Texas examined the PhD student, and Jamiu performed outstandingly!

Special thanks to his supervisor, Prof. Mohammed Olanrewaju Ibrahim, and others who were present, including Prof. Amos Idowu (HoD Mathematics) and Prof. Saminu Olatunji (Internal Examiner).
