In line with the University of Ilorin’s commitment to strengthening global academic partnerships, enhancing internationalisation, and advancing knowledge exchange across borders, the University is pleased to invite distinguished international scholars to apply for Visiting Lecturership positions in various academic disciplines.

This initiative is a product of the University’s strategic efforts to build vibrant academic linkages and promote global excellence in teaching and research.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must:

• Hold a current or previous academic rank of Senior Lecturer or above in a recognized university outside Nigeria;
• Or, be deemed qualified for such status following the University’s standard appointment procedures (except where engagements are made through formal linkage agreements with partner institutions).

Duration:

• Initial appointment is for one (1) academic year, renewable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and approval of the Appointments and Promotions Committee (A&PC).

Mode of Engagement:

• On-site Visiting Lecturers will be hosted in Nigeria and provided with accommodation and international staff benefits as applicable.
• Virtual Visiting Lecturers shall also be engaged in line with post-COVID global practices. The University has made provisions for virtual learning infrastructure, including high-speed internet and smart boards, to ensure effective online delivery.

Remuneration:

• Physical/on-site Visiting Lecturers shall be remunerated in Naira, in line with the University’s salary structure for corresponding academic cadres.
• Virtual Visiting Lecturers will also be paid in Naira, based on their academic level and engagement terms.

• A current CV,
• List of proposed courses/areas of contribution,
• Any existing institutional collaboration proposal (optional),
